Behavioural economist and business consultant, with work experience spanning academe, the corporate sector and public affairs over past 30 years, Patrick McNutt, Oxford graduate, academic and author of numerous publications is aFellow of the Royal Society, and a Visiting Fellow at Manchester Business School. Irish citizen, born August 12th 1957, based in Dublin, he continues to consult with private clients, applying game theory and strategic thinking. He continues to research and teach.

In 1996, Patrick McNutt was appointed by competitive interview to the Full-Time Executive Chairmanship of the Irish Competition Authority (1996-2000). Director and Partner, Competition & Regulatory Affairs, London Economics/Indecon Consultancy Group (2000-2003).Consultant to the Industries/EDC Committee, Jersey Competition & Regulatory Authority, Jersey, Channel Islands, UK (2001-2004), and inaugural Chairman of the Jersey Authority during that set-up period.
