1. / Welcome
GD welcomed everyone to the meeting
2. / Review of Minutes of meeting on 25/5/2016
GD asked the group if they were happy with the minutes of the last meeting and everyone was.
3. / Aims and objectives of the meeting
GD reminded everyone what these are:
Contribute to the continuous improvement of services
Foster improved communication between the practice and its patients
Help patients to take more responsibility for their health and
Provide practical support and help to implement change.
GD also discussed the group being independent with its own Chairperson and Secretary and this would be something for the group to work towards.
GD also read out the Ground Rules which will be available at every meeting
4. / Goldhanger
GD explained to the group that the services at Goldhanger will cease on 9/9/2016. NHS England have been informed and the patients who use the Village Hall for medicine collection have been informed. The hall is not CQC compliant and the service will be continued for patients who need deliveries.
5. / Medicines Waste Project 2016
GD explained that the new initiative of reducing medicine waste and for further information is not ready yet and as soon as it is we will be invited to a meeting about it.
6. / Flu campaign and PPG involvement
GD included dates and times of Flu clinics. MC and RM to help
7. / Dementia Update – Alzheimer’s Society Chelmsford
GD spoke about the Alzheimer’s Society in Chelmsford and the long waiting time for the Memory Clinic at Broomfield. JH spoke about the Alzheimer’s Society visiting Town Hall Maldon 10-12 every other Wednesday from 14 September.

JH spoke about the Lighthouse café 2-4.30pm 23/9/16 to meet elderly patients
