Pass It On Fashion – Shop Assistant

Volunteers are required to help with working behindthe scenes ‘sorting’ or ‘Steaming’ at Brian Jackson House or working in the shop helping to display goods for sale, pricing, cleaning & tidying and serving customers.

Based at Upperhead Row, Huddersfield.

Pass It On – Shop Assistant

Volunteers are required to help with ensuring the showroom looks presentable to the public, helping with customers requirements, sorting of clothes, bric a brac & furniture. Answering the phone, logging donations, organising pickups and deliveries and PAK testing. Age 16+.

Shops Based at Huddersfield, Halifax, Heckmondwike, Batley & Doncaster.

Pass It On – Drivers Mate or Drivers

Volunteers are required to support the ‘Pass It On’ team of drivers and drivers mates, by helping to deliver and collect donations of house hold furniture and bric a brac from shops and homes in an around the Yorkshire area. Drivers must hold a full clean UK driving licence. This role involves lifting and carrying so you will need to be physically fit. Age 18 +.

Based at Heckmondwike

Pass It On – The Vintage Mill

Volunteers are required to help out with the running of the Mill, which includes taking donations, cleaning, pricing, researching and EBay inputting (training required). looking through donated pieces of furniture and other goods for antiques and items of possible value. Someone with a background in French polishing, furniture restoration and antiques.

Based at Heckmondwike

All our dedicated volunteers are given the option to take an NVQ qualification in Customer Service, Retail or Business Admin. This is alongside the ongoing training they receive from staff members. There will also be the opportunity to attend, First Aid Training, Manual Handling Training and Food Hygiene. Each month one volunteer is chosen as Volunteer of the Month and awarded a Certificate and Gift Voucher! We appreciate our volunteers and ensure they are a part of the team!

All Yorkshire Children’s Centre Volunteers are reimbursed with out of pocket expenses, which are outlined in the Volunteer Handbook. Volunteers will be assigned a project mentor, plus Volunteer Coordinators are always on hand for advice and support when required.
