Partnerships for eLearning Capability

/ An online collaboration space for TAFE NSW teachers to promote knowledge sharing in support of capability building.
A weekly average of 552 ‘unique visitors’ participate in eCommunities. Popular sites include TAFE Connects with over 900 participants and the LLN Hub with about 500 participants.

/ Moodle sequence templates designed for various teaching situations and activities, a matrix linking learning to tools and four recorded TAFE Connects sessions on learning design to support the implementation of online teaching and learning.

/ An online collaborative space for LLN and VET teachers to access quality resources, case studies and indicator tools which are trialled, validated assessments to support the identification of learner literacy and numeracy skills specific to a range of industry mapped to ACSF.

/ An online learning platform available to all Institutes to support the consistent delivery of multi-campus higher education courses. Up-to-date information and resources are also available via the Higher Education eCommunity.

/ Supports teachers in planning, developing and delivering training to distance learners at multi-sites. Allows students in remote areas to participate in training using a range of technologies available to teachers.

/ Build teachers’ skills and confidence in using digital technology to deliver online training to students. Includes a self-assessment tool for teachers to help identify gaps in digital literacy skills. A range of resources teachers can access to improve digital literacy and resources to prepare students for e-learning.

/ Learner support is a newly launched site to assist teachers in supporting their learners online. It includes planning strategies, tools for teachers, as well as self-assessment assistance and tips from VET teachers with practical experience.

/ Increase TAFE NSW teachers’ knowledge and skills in the use of mobile devices in communication and delivery of TAFE courses. Resources include sample mobile courses in Moodle, eBooks as well as eBook templates.
