Partnership Agreement: Positive Presenters
Introduction
Waves Communications has an opportunity to partner with Positive Presenters, a Vancouver-based company that provides corporate clients with training in verbal and non-verbal communications. This proposal describes the issues related to the partnership in terms of three factors: Partnership Requirements, Products and Services, and Financial Considerations. If Waves Communications and Positive Presenters agree to the proposed partnership, the terms of the partnership will become active on December 1, 2013 and extend to December 31, 2016, at which time a renewal of the agreement will be negotiated.
Partnership Requirements
This section provides background information about Positive Presenters and discusses how the partnership could benefit both Waves Communicationsand Positive Presenters.
Background Information
Positive Presenters maintains four offices across Canada. The head office is located in Vancouver, British Columbia and three branch offices are located in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Halifax. The Vancouver office will be the first of the Positive Presenters offices to work closely with Waves Communications. At present, Positive Presenters is one of the country’s leaders in verbal and non-verbal communications. Using sometimes unorthodox methodologies, Positive Presenters transforms co-workers into finely tuned teams able to anticipate each person’s every move.
Benefits
Positive Presenters needs the seminars provided by Waves Communicationsin order to offer an overall business-training package that will appeal to its corporate customers. In particular, Positive Presenters requires business writing seminars and online publishing seminars. By providing Positive Presenters with these seminars, Waves Communicationsextends its market. Positive Presentersclients can purchase Waves Communicationsseminars and then contact Waves Communications directly should they require additional seminars or consulting services. Revenues are also expected to rise. See Figure 1 below.

Positive Presenters Services
Positive Presenters provides the following categories of verbal and non-verbal training:
- Introduction to Non-Verbal Communications
- Non-VerbalTeamBuilding
- Word Power Seminars
- Verbal Communications
- Team Empowerment
The attached appendix lists the specific courses provided in each of the five principal categories.
Waves Communications Products
Positive Presenters is most interested in our business writing seminars and online publishing seminars, since these areas are most in demand by their current clients.
Package Opportunities
Positive Presenters will offer Waves Communications seminars as supplements to their communications seminars. In addition, Positive Presenters and Waves Communicationscan create custom training packages.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Positive Presenters has provided information related to their seminar sales over the past ten years. Based on this information, Waves Communicationscould expect a minimum of $100,000 revenue on the sale of materials and seminars used by Positive Presenters to supplement its communications courses.
Financing Required
Positive Presenters has agreed to cover all costs associated with the packaging of Waves Communications course materials for the first six months of the partnership agreement.
CONCLUSION
Waves Communicationshas the opportunity to increase its market share by partnering with Positive Presenters. Both companies are seriously committed to providing their clients with complete, personalized training packages and to develop training materials that conform to the highest standards of usability and effectiveness.
