Terms and Conditions for Calling Tenders2016-17

  1. The material supplied to the Vidyalaya should be of very standard quality which will be inspected by committee. If any material at any stage is found substandard, it will be returned back to the supplier at his own cost.
  1. The rate should be FORdestination i.e. JNV Kaza and should include in the quotation/tender Excise duty, Sales Tax, Freight Charges, any taxes, rates or imposition what ever is liable in respect of the supplies. These will not be paid at any time by the Vidyalaya.
  1. There should not be any overwriting or corrections in the quotation/tender.If a figure is to be amended it should be neatly scored out, the raised figure written above and the same should be attested with full signature and date by the supplier. In the absence of attested signature the quotation is liable to be rejected.
  1. The undersigned does not bind himself to accept the lowest tender/quotation and reserves the right to accept the tender/quotation in whole or in part i.e. with respect to all articles mentioned in the attached statement or in respect of any one or more than one articles specified in the attached statement as he may change.
  1. On acceptance of tender/quotation it will become a contract and one contractor shall be bound by terms and condition of tender/quotation.
  1. The quantity of the material may be increased or decreased depending upon the requirement of the Vidyalaya.
  1. Prior to the acceptance of quotation, the undersigned reserves the right to call for samples or demonstration. The contractor shall be liable to supply the sample or give demonstration free of cost.
  1. The amount of security deposit shall be retained by the Vidyalaya fora period of three months from the date of completion of supplies as a safe guard against any defect appearing in the articles supplied with in this period.
  1. If the contractor fails to supply the articles within the time stipulated in the letter of acceptance by the undersigned, the undersigned shall be at liberty to purchase the articles from the market or get the rest of the contract completed by any other person or firm and the difference of price, if any, shall be deducted from the earnest money/security deposit and in case any amount in excess of the security deposit is paid by the undersigned the contractor shall be liable to pay this amount.
  1. The tender shall accompany a security deposit mention in tender form, in the form of demand draft only in the name of ‘The Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kaza’ payable at SBI- Kaza Distt. Lahaul & Spiti (H.P.) and cheque will not be entertained. No tender will be accepted without security deposit.
  1. Tender will only be accepted through registered post or by hand in person. Tenderer must indicate on the envelop “TENDER FOR ______”
  1. Tender received after the last date as mention in news paper shall not be accepted. The last date of receiving tender is 05.12.2016 upto 04:00pm.
  1. Only those firms who are registered firms or who actually deal in those particular items need apply.
  1. If the tenderer fails to supply the articles as per the specifications, his security deposit will be forfeited.
  1. The supplier must attach income tax clearance certificate from the competent authority i.e. income tax department otherwise tax will be deducted at source @ 2% of payment.
  1. Hopefully the Vidyalaya is going to shift at Lari permanent site of this Vidyalaya this year in the month of December, 2016. If it is shifted at permanent site, the tenderers will have to supply/install the articles at JNV-Lari Lahaul & Spiti (H.P)

Note: - These instructions are to be read by the supplier carefully and are to be signed by the contractors and must return with tender forms. If the purchases/tenders are made centrally for items by NVS at any stage this tender stands automatically cancelled.
