Partner Questions

  1. Log in to the Cloud using Firefox or Google Chrome. (my.austinisd.org)
  2. Open Google Apps for Students, which should be one of your favorites.
  3. The top left-hand corner should look like this: If not, click the three stacked lines and select Docs.
  4. In the bottom right-hand corner, click to created a new document.
  5. Title your document Partner Questions using size 18 in a font of your choosing.
  6. Center your title by selecting it and clicking the center icon in the toolbar. Your title is the only information that should be centered.
  1. Number 1-5 with periods after each number. Leave a space between each number.
  2. You must create five questions for your partner. The first two can be simple questions.

Ex. What’s your favorite color? However, 3-5 must be questions about experiences/memories. Ex. Describe your most embarrassing moment.No yes or no questions!

  1. Questions 1-5 must be written in size 14. Choose a different font than your title.

10. Question one and two must be in bold.

11. Question three and four must be underlined and written in blue.

  1. Question five must be in italics.
  2. Once you are finished, go to Share in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Again, title your document Partner Questions and click Save.
  4. It’s now time to share your document with your partner. Type in their first and last name in the box.

If there are multiple people with that name, raise your hand.

  1. Make sure it says Can Edit next to their name and hit Send.

HW: Log in to the Cloud at home using either Firefox or Chrome, and open Google Drive for Students from there. Once in your Google Drive, click on the left. Your partner’s document should be there. Answer each of their questions using complete sentences. Do not make any changes to their questions! Make sure the font and color you use to respond is easy to read. When you are finished, log off. You do not need to send it back. It’s automatic.

Partner Presentation

  1. Log in to the Cloud using Firefox or Google Chrome. (my.austinisd.org)
  2. Open Google Drive for Students, which should be one of your favorites.
  3. In , you will find the document you shared with your partner. Open it to read their responses to your questions.Get to know your partner through these responses because you are now going to create a short presentation about them.
  4. Keep this window open, but return to the Cloud to open Google Apps for Students.
  5. In the top left-hand corner, click the three stacked lines and select Slides.
  6. In the bottom right-hand corner, click to create a new presentation.
  7. Select a theme.
  8. Your presentation must be three slides. Include your partner’s first and last name, information you learned about them from their responses, and pictures that represent them and their experiences. The design is completely up to you as long as it’s readable and appropriate.
  1. To add a new slide, click Slide in the toolbar, then New slide.
  1. To insert an image, click Insert then Image... Next, go to Search and type in what you’re looking for. Select the image you want. Then you can resize and rotate your image however you’d like.
  1. Once you have finished your three slides, send your presentation to your partner and me (Emily Mazac). You’ll do this the same way you did the questions document. Title this Partner Presentation.
