The NATO Trust Fund for Bosnia and Herzegovina implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in BiH will assist up to 6,000 MoD redundant or discharged personnel by facilitating their social and economic reintegration.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Sarajevo and the direct supervision of the Programme Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for providing the necessary programme support. In particular s/he will have the duties and responsibilities set out below:

Provide written advice on additional resources useful to the programme beneficiaries

Develop a business plan template with written guidelines, adaptable to various agricultural concepts/ideas. The Business Plan Template should include, but not limited to: executive summary, defined objectives, Market Analysis, Financial components (capital, cash flow projections, profit margin, etc.), Management structure, Customer Analysis, Competition Analysis, and Marketing of product/service as well as highlighting project Sustainability;

Develop detailed training module on the above template for programme beneficiaries;

Undertake, countrywide, an information mapping exercise on existing and future activities and services promoting and/or facilitating agricultural entrepreneurship and establishment such as trainings on business planning, accounting, microfinance, planting, breeding, packaging;

Compile a list of existing laws related to business registration, classification, financing, and other legislations related to the programme beneficiaries interested in agriculture activities;

Develop an “Evaluation & Feedback” system for the agro-business planning participants;

Develop an evaluation system for programme monitors to verify business success;

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. University Degree in Agricultural sciences
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of socio-economic conditions in the region.
  3. Excellent knowledge of (written/spoken) English and local language, excellent inter-personal skills, able to work in a team and independently.
  4. Good computer skills especially Word, Excel and databases.
  5. The incumbent must have a high sense of responsibility, be capable of working on own initiative and be able to liaise with other governmental and non-governmental agencies.
  6. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
