PART TIME BOOKKEEPER/ADMIN ASSISTANT LEASIDE CURLING CLUB
Reports to the General Manager
The Leaside Curling Club in Toronto seeks a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to start in early September. The role is a part-time and seasonal ending on April 30th each season. Leaside Curling Club is an established club with over 950 members. Members and guests enjoy a safe, clean environment with 8 sheets of ice, a licensed lounge and change room facilities. The club is wheelchair accessible
- This role requires a solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, with experience in QuickBooks and Excel. Will be required to conduct all accounts receivable and payable functions.
- Knowledge of curling and curling clubs is an asset.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Responsible for all payroll duties, the remittance of source deductions and preparation of T4s and Records of Employment as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a current record of all cash flows in QuickBooks and ensure that the bank accounts are reconciled each month.
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and annual financial statements and assemble information for external auditors for annual audit.
- Make all cash records, bank deposits and transfers.
- Prepare cheques required to pay suppliers in a timelymanner (General Manager and Board members will have signing authority)
- Responsible for the collection of member accounts.
- Ensure that member Chit statements are available for pick up at the bar by the end of the following month.
- Issue invoices for ice rentals or pro shop sales and ensure that receivables are collected promptly.
- Process credit card payments.
- Handle phone, mail and email inquiries
- Handle petty cash fund for miscellaneous payments (underguidance of General Manager)
- Prepare a detailed schedule for the registration revenue and track payments
- Remit sales taxes to CRA and Remit premiums to WSIB as required.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Must be Bondable
Assist and support the General Manager and perform any other duties as assigned by the GeneralManager.

Salary commiserate with experience and qualifications
