PARROT HEAD BIKE RIDE FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT

To Benefit the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Project and the Nature Conservancy of Louisiana

When: Saturday, April 1, 2017, both rides start at 9AM

Where: Mary Ann Brown Nature Preserve on Hwy 965 in St. Francisville, La.

What: A 19 or 27mile bicycle ride to raise money for the Nature Conservancy of LA and the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Project.

Swag: Each participant will receive a collector’s edition 21st Annual Parrot Head Bike Ride for Our Environment T-shirt and ride packet, rest stops with drinks/fruit, and lunch and drinks after the ride.

Fees:

·  $25.00 to pre-register online at USA Cycling

·  $30.00 to register the day of the ride.

*Registration must be received by March 10, 2017 to ensure T-shirt size selection.

Registration:

·  Online: At usacycling.org If you have an account log in and register for this event. If you don’t have a USAC account, you will need to create one, it is free, and you do not need to purchase a license for this event. Select the Sign In button and follow the steps to create your account. When complete log in to your account and select events from the toolbar then Event Search then click on the state of LA. From there scroll to find the 21st Annual Parrot Head Bike Ride for Our Environment. Don’t forget to select your T- shirt size when registering. ·  Onsite: At the Mary Ann Brown Nature Preserve entrance from 7:30 to 8:45 am

Equipment: Riders are required to provide and use their own helmets.

Directions: From Hwy. 61, turn NE onto Hwy. 965. Travel about 6 miles and the preserve is on the left. From Hwy. 966, veer east onto Hwy. 965 and travel 1.2 miles.

Post-Ride Party: Begins at 10:00 AM
