Review process

The Infringements Act 2006 allows for an infringement notice to be reviewed only once. If you believe that you have a good reason why you should not pay the fine you may apply for an internal review below. The review process can take up to 90 days or longer if additional information is required. However, responses are generally sent out within 28 days of receiving an application for an internal review. During this period please do not pay the fine. We recommend that if you have not received a written response after 28 days of submitting your request for an internal review that you contact Animal Management Services on 5434 6000.

·  I forgot to register or renew registration for my cat or dog

·  I didn't realise I had to register my cat or dog

·  I thought if my cat or dog was microchipped, it was registered

·  Somebody let my dog out of the yard

·  I didn't realise there was a cat curfew

·  I didn't realise there were areas where dogs were required to be on a lead

·  I was unaware that I had to carry a bag to pick up and remove my dogs droppings in any public place
