The rules and regulations for parking on the campus of Luella High School are listed on the 2nd page (or reverse side) of this sheet. The student must read the rules and regulations, then initial each, then the parent and the student sign below.

Please NOTE that it is a privilege to park on the Luella High School campus. Students are offered that privilege with the understanding that they must obey the rules and regulations, as well as obeying instructions from the LHS parking lot attendant. Failure to do so could result in suspension or revocation of the privilege to park on the Luella High School campus. NO REFUNDSwill be issued due to the suspension or revocation of a student’s parking permit.

By my signature, we (parent and student) acknowledge that we have read and understand all items listed(on front and back of this application) and that the student has initialed by each regulation on the back of this application. We agree to accept the terms, rules and regulations of this agreement in exchange for the privilege of being issued a permit to park on the campus of Luella High School.

STUDENT PARKING RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. In order purchase a parking decal, students must provide the following information all at the time of application and purchase:
  1. Completed and signed LHS parking application- signed by parent and student
  2. Class C or D driver’s license
  3. Current insurance card
  4. Parking fee in either cash or money order

  1. Parking privileges may be revoked or suspended if the following occurs in the parking lot:
  1. Jumping curbs
  2. Excessive speed
  3. Reckless driving
  4. Not parking correctly in the assigned parking spot
  5. Parking permit NOT VISIBLE in lower right corner of the BACK windshield at all times

  1. Students must park in their assigned parking spot.
  • Students’ cars are subject to being towed, if parked in an unauthorized parking spot or other unauthorized area on school grounds.

  1. Parking permit must be placed and remain in the lower right corner of the BACK windshield of the registered vehicle.
  • PERMITS ARE NOT TRANSFERRABLE

  1. Student should not loiter in the parking lot. This includes before school, during school and after school, as well as after extra-curricular activities have ended.

  1. If a student needs to retrieve something from his/her vehicle during the school day, the student must report to the front office and be given a Parking Lot pass that must then be returned to the front office as the student re-enters the building.
  • Failure to use this procedure could result in suspension or revocation of the student’s parking permit.

  1. Students are expected to attend school regularly and to be on time regularly. If a student accumulates excessive unexcused tardies or absences, the student’s parking permit is subject to suspension or revocation by the appropriate grade level administrator.
  • As stated in the LHS Addendum to the HCS Student and Parent Secondary Handbook:
  • Unexcused absences and/or tardies in excess of 5 are potential cause for parking privileges to be suspended or revoked.

  1. To maintain order and discipline in the schools and to protect the safety and welfare of students and school personnel, school authorities may search student vehicles at any time. (See pg. 39 of the Secondary Student Handbook for more information).
