WE PRAY FOR THE DEAD AND THOSE WHO MOURN THEM - In particular for Delphine Ross of our parish, mother of Jacquie Ross Zalac, who was buried from our church this Saturday morning .

GETTING TO KNOW ST. FRANCIS Snapshot 100–During this retreat, the sufferings of Christ became more than ever the burden of Francis’ meditations; into few souls, perhaps, had the full meaning of the passion so deeply entered.

ATTENTION GARDENERS – Our Church grounds & gardens need to be prepared for the winter. Shrubs need trimming, weeds need pulling, plants need to be cut back, leaves need raking. Those interested in helping with this project, please join me at the church on Saturday, NOVEMBER 2ND@ 9 a.m. with your shears & gloves. We are also looking for someone with a trailer to bring debris to the dump. Many hands make light work….thank you! For more information, call Carole Spenard 450-692-2661.

UPDATE ON THE ST. PATRICK STAINED GLASS WINDOW – As many of you have noticed the stained glass window of St. Patrick near the elevator was vandalized some months ago when someone threw a rock. Knowing that the repair would be more than the insurance deductible, we decided to get an estimate and wait to budget the repair of the stained glass – repair estimate was over $1,200. We contacted the Chateauguay& Valley Irish Heritage Association (CVIHA) which began in this Parish as the Chateauguay Irish Society, asking if they would help repair the stained glass window of their patron Saint. The CVIHA reached out to Pierre Moreau, Quebec Liberal Member for Chateauguay who has agreed to donate the money required to repair the stained glass window. We wish to thank the CVIHA for their help and Pierre Moreau for this generous donation. The repairs are underway & St. Patrick will soon return to OLPH!

OLPH FOOD PANTRY – THANK YOU!!!!! Your continued response to the Food Pantry Weekend is much needed. There is always a large demand on our emergency supplies especially withchildren going back to school. So thank you so much for all your donations & especially for your caring attention to this ongoing cause. Recently our supplies are very low and we sorely need cereal, coffee, school snacks and shelf milk. The next Food Pantry Weekend will be November 2/3.

THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS - (R.C.I.A.) supports and encourages the spiritual journeys of all of us. The R.C.I.A. is an ongoing process within parish life. It is designed to welcome new members into the Church and at the same time to lead every Catholic parishioner to deeper belief and renewal of his or her Christian faith. For more information please call the parish office.
