  • March/April Attend an Accepted Student Day at the University of Maine at Farmington
  • March/April Complete any necessary Placement Testing (see info on back)
  • April 28 Course Planning(preregistration for classes) and Housing Forms available online

on myCampus for confirmed students (students who have submitted their

Admission Reply Form and $250 deposit). Note, additional information will be

mailed to confirmed students to assist with these two forms

  • May 1 Enrollment Deposit Deadline(Confirmation of intention to attend UMF)
  • May 12 Preferred date to turn in Course PlanningForms (Registration begins!)
  • June 13 Deadline for submission of Course Planning Forms
  • June 15-20 Summer Experience (optional week for incoming UMF students – take a one-

credit course, live on campus, connect with fellow members of the Class of 2017)

  • June Request any AP exam scores of 3-5 be sent from the College Board to UMF
  • June If any college courses have been taken while in HS, request the official transcripts

be sent to UMF directly from the college(s) the courses were taken at

  • July Housing assignments will be sent to new students
  • July Send in immunization records (see info on reverse)
  • July Bills will besent out (due by August 15)
  • August 30 Orientation begins (move in day)
  • Sept 3 Classes begin!

MaineStreet and myCampus

Applicants should have access to MaineStreet. Once they confirm (return the Reply Form and $250 Deposit), they will also be able to access myCampususing the same username and password as in MaineStreet. MyCampus is where students will find the Course Planning and Housing Forms, as well as a great deal of information about preparing to attend UMF in the fall.

Placement Tests

Please note that ifa student is required to take placement tests, he or she must do so before we can register them for classes at UMF. Below are the descriptions of the placement tests and the SAT scores that serve as indicators for the respective tests. Students who have not yet provided SAT scores to us need to do so for placement purposes.

Accuplacer Arithmetic and Elementary Algebra (math SAT score less than 490)

WritePlacer (writing SAT score less than 500)

Once we have placement test results and a student has confirmed at UMF, he or she will be permitted to register for courses in May. Testing can be arranged at the University of Maine at Farmington by calling 207-778-7666 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at least 24 hours in advance of a preferred appointment time. UMF provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. Please advise us when you call if you have any special needs. Immunization Records

State law requires students attending college in Maine to provide records of health and vaccination.

Please send the following records to the Application Processing Center, University of Maine System,

PO Box 412, Bangor, ME 04402-0412:

A signed statement from a health official who administered vaccines for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria in the past 10 years
  • Two Measles/Mumps/Rubella after your first birthday and documentation of a 2nd booster

OR

A secondary school health record showing the above

OR

Copies of laboratory evidence of immunity for the above

A physical is NOT required to attend Farmington, but a sports physical is required if one plans to participate in intercollegiate or club sports at UMF.
