Biology Study Island Remediation

Your son/daughter is eligible for Study Island grade remediation for the following Units:

Unit 1: Chemistry in Biology

SB1b. Explain how enzymes function as catalysts.

SB1c. Identify the function of the four major macromolecules (i.e., carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids).

Your student previously earned an average of ______on the unit test.

Study Island is an online learning website with assessments. Your student will be assigned a lesson and test for this unit. Your student must earn a minimum of 70% on the lesson in order to take the test. Study Island will allow the student to access the test but I will NOT enter a grade in for the unit test if the lesson is not passed first. The test may be paused as many times as necessary. The student must earn a minimum of a 70% on the test. I will replace that score for the Biology Unit in Pinnacleup to a 75%. For example: Your student scores an 85% on the test. I would go back to Pinnacle and replace the unit test grade with a 75%.

The assignment will be made available on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 and will be due no later than Friday, September 28th, 2012. There will be no exception and no late work will be accepted.
