Meeting began with a prayer.

Actions from previous meeting.

School Lunch

Concern over the size of the portions, quality, temperature of food.

Action –SLT have been monitoring the lunches, pupil questionnaires have been administered.

Aspens have monitored the temperature of the food/portions size. Looking to purchase heat lamps.

Andy Dowding – to look at the door in the hall in order to retain the heat within the hall.

Ongoing monitoring – AB to report back next meeting.

Lost Property

What happens to lost property?

Mrs Blake confirmed that lost property is returned to pupils if named but otherwise if not claimed after two weeks it is sent to the charity shop.

Electronic Display Board

AB confirmed that the display board was to be used as an additional way of communicating to parents and pupils.

Action - Parents would like to see more photos of the pupils.

Can the Tweeter feed be put on/Dates for the week.

Year 6 SATs Breakfast

Parents liked the idea of the SATs breakfast but questioned why Abbey Road provided a complimentary breakfast. Parents would like to know how the money raised from the breakfast has been spent.

Parents complimented the Year 6 staff during the lead up/week of the SATs.

Parents would like ‘model’ answers for those questions their children got incorrect in their mock exam/LCP booklets.

Action – AB to complete a breakdown of the costings relating to the breakfast.

Speak to Year 6 staff regarding the possibility of providing answer sheets for SATs preparation questions.

Reward for the Year 6’s after SATS

Could pupils go away after their SATS?

Mrs Blake explained that Year 6 visit the Briars and PGL (3 weeks after SATs)

PGL Payments

Parents have requested the payment of trips in instalments eg PGL

Action – speak to ST/Office/Finance

RE

Parents raised concerns over the RE homework/focus straight after SATs.

Mrs Blake explained this was due to the RE inspection.

Could homework be reduced during Holy Communion week?

Mrs Blake explained that children had one week to complete homework and if they were unable to do so then parents should speak to their child’s class teacher.

Afterschool Club

One parent would like confirmation of how to contact the after school club.

Action –Send parent mail/details on the website of how to contact afterschool club.

Mobile Phone Policy

Concern over the use of mobile phone during Premier Sport gymnastics lesson (Friday)

Action – AB to contact Premier Sport.
