“B” Week

  • 8th graders…..Dance tickets are on sale now. PLEASE check with your teachers to see if you are eligible to purchase your ticket. They are $10 each and are sold ONLY in the office during your lunch.
  • Proctors needed for testing—Use link to sign up…
  • Parents: All fees are due at this time. This includes cafeteria fees, school fees, digital fees and Chrome book repair fees. Please remember school starts at 7:45. Students should not bring outside drinks other than water to school with them.
  • Dismissal is at 2:45. Your child should be picked up from school by 3:15.
  • Relay for Life---only $250 away from our $1,000 goal

Monday, May 9:

  • SRI Testing Window Opens for ALL Students (Window: May 9-May 20)
  • Baseball/Volleyball home against SanLee—starts at 4:00
  • Boys soccer practice - 3:00 PM dressed out in Mr. Sherrard’s room – must be picked up at 4:30

Tuesday, May 10:

  • Military Youth Club 3:00-4:15
  • PTA Meeting @ 6:30 in Media Center
  • Boys soccer practice - 3:00 PM dressed out in Mr. Sherrard’s room – must be picked up at 4:30

Wednesday, May 11:

  • Robotics Competition at Pinecrest High School from 9:00-1:00—Parents feel free to come watch!!
  • Baseball/Volleyball @ home vs West Pine
  • Boys soccer practice – 3:00 PM dressed out in Mr. Sherrard’s room – must be picked up at 4:30

Thursday, May 12:

  • Soccer @ SanLee—game starts at 4:00
  • Military Youth Club will go and see the Jungle Book. The club will leave school at 4pm and go to Frank Theater. Pick up will be at 6pm at the movies. In order to go on the field trip you must have come to MYC at least 3 times.Permission slips are in the office.
  • Ballroom dancing 3-4:00—Final practice before competition
  • Robotics Team Celebration from 3:00-5:00
  • Chorus Concert at 6:00—all grades—Students need to be on campus at 5:40

Friday, May 13:

  • Parent/player meeting at 5:30pm in the Pinecrest cafeteria for anyone interested in trying out for Pinecrest Men's Soccer for the upcoming season. Information concerning tryouts and summer training will handed out.
  • Relay for Life---6:00-12:00 at the Pinehurst Harness Track—Come out and support out team!!
  • Cheerleaders will perform at Relay for Life

  • May 18th – Ballroom dance competition at SMS 5-6:00

  • May 21st – Eighth grade Dance 6-9:00
  • May 21—Cheer Parent Fundraiser Starts
  • May 24th – Athletic Banquet 5:30. All players will be free. The cost for adults will be $8.00 and all students K-5 will be $5.00. You can pick up an order form in the front office. Please return the form with payment to Ms. Brown. There will be no money collected after May 13. All players will need to turn in a form even if no one else will be attending. This is for head count purposes.
  • May 26, 27 and June 1,2---EOG/NCFE Testing
  • May 30—Memorial Day holiday—No School for Students and Staff
  • May 31—Orchestra Parent Meeting
  • June 6—EOC for Math 1 students (those not taking it online)
  • June 6, 7, and 8---Field Day
  • June 8---8th grade picnic and promotion practice
  • June 8—8th grade Promotion Ceremony at 6:00
  • June 9—Last day of school—Early release at 11:45
