Paper Bag Book Report
Paper Bag Book Report & Rubric
Instructions:
1. On the front of a paper bag, draw a colorful scene from the book. Also include:
a. The title of the book
b. The author
c. Your name and class section
2. On the back of the bag write a summary of the story. If possible, print your summary on the computer and paste it onto the bag.
3. On one side of the bag list all the main characters in the book and write a brief description of them (you won’t have a lot of room so be to the point).
4. On the other side of the bag describe the Setting. Include the places and the time periods your story took place.
5. Inside the bag place at least six objects that represent significant events that happen in the book. You could also place objects that show aspects of the main character’s personality. You may draw only one picture and put it in the bag.
6. You will be asked to tell the class about your book. You may read directly from your bag as long as you have eye contact with the class. You will also be required to tell the class about each item in your bag, their significance to the story, and why you chose each item. You will be given points for presenting.
