Symptom: The mechanism produces a grinding noise when the unit is moving Up/Down then finally gets stuck at the bottom of the frame due to the miss-judgment of the Up/Down sensor.
Objective lots Sep. – Oct. 2013
Cause: Up/Down gear block assembly dimension out of tolerance in particular lot.
Remedy: 1. Check the unit lot number that is on the rear frame. See picture below

· Case # 1, Made in Japan: Replace the whole Up/down gear block, part number WEPMA70L1468. (See Service Manual for the replacement know-how).
· Case # 2, Made in China: Replace the up/down gear box B, up/down worm wheel and up/down shaft holder plate with the kit, part number WEPMA70L1788. See service procedure below.

· Case # 3, if the manufacturing has not been determined, replace the whole Up/down gear block WEPMA70L1468
