Sports Shirts

/ All members are welcome to go online to design a new shirt from Sports Attack or Sports Shirts Australia and bring to the next meeting. / All / 4th March

KTP Shirts

/ BS motioned that the P&C to fund an amount of $200 for kindergarten transition student shirts, making them easily identifiable and to promote the school.KM seconded. MJ to design and liaise with EW. / MJ

Principals Report

/ Summary of what has been happening at our school since our last meeting.
Important points are:
·  K.I.T.K requires a co-ordinator.
·  New chair has arrived for the library
·  School has a very pleasant and relaxed feel about it
·  More library items to arrive shortly
·  Date and time of meeting suit EW and committee?
·  Class parent teacher meetings next week
·  Halogen Leadership 20th March
·  Peer support program to continue
·  Cross Country and sports day will be start of term 2
·  Intensive Swim Program to be moved to Maclean Pool
·  Basketball Gala Day will be in March
·  Toilets have been painted and a sky light installed (kids are no longer lining up to use only 1 toilet)
·  New structure for Year 4/5/6 teacher. C Black and E Wiseman
·  School plans : Collaborate with the community
: discuss 20 year goals
: overarching all development forward is child wellbeing
·  A great response to meeting today has been acknowledged and appreciated. Parents are needed for input
·  Rotations not possible Term 1 and 4, they will happen Term 2 and 3 only

BUSINESS WITHOUT NOTICE

Ø  Fun Run to go ahead, BS suggested a dress up theme and will commence before the end of Term 2

Ø  Uniform prices yet to be determined

Ø  MJ suggested term plans be sent out again

Ø  Next meeting day is P&C Day, suggestions to bring a plate to share

Ø  Next year the school turns 150, BS suggested personalised pavers to make a path in commemoration of past students and noted locals. Ellie suggested that a dedicated committee is required for the huge task of recognition and celebrations.

Ø  An open invitation has been extended to all parents for an informal catch up at the Tavern on Friday 27th Feb at 7pm …..All welcome J

Ø  A disco is to be discussed at a later date

Ø  A “HUGE” THANK YOU has been extended to Bec and Rob Carr in recognition of their commitment to the role of P&C Treasurer for the past 3 years. Without the kindness of parents that dedicate their free time and resources the P&C could not exist J J
