“Pallex 2” Import / Export

For

Haultech Traffic System

Basic Notes detailing the differences for using Pallex2.

This is an extended Import / Export routine to cover the new fields and functionality between Pallex’ TWINE systems and The Haultech Traffic System.

For both the Import and the Export there are tick box options that need to be checked on the TWINE interface at the time of import/export, in order for these routines to function correctly. They are as follows:

Importing into TWINE from Haultech (In Haultech using ‘Export’ functionality)

Additional (Extra) Freight

Collection Service

Timed Services

Collection and Delivery Detail

Exporting from TWINE to Haultech (In Haultech using ‘Import’ functionality)

Additional (Extra) Freight

Timed Services

Collection and Delivery Detail

Pallet Type

There are tick boxes on the TWINE system to enable these additions for each Import / Export. The above must be ticked or the (Pallex 2) file will not be in the correct format.

Haultech Pallex 2 Import

There are also some new tick box settings on the Haultech Pallex 2 Import Routine. They are detailed below:

Solitaire: Jobs entered via Solitaire by our Customer(s)

Tick this box if you are importing data from TWINE that has been entered by your customers onto Solitaire. This will mark each of these jobs as having originated within the Traffic System. This mark is then used with regards to our HTTwine service which uploads and downloads any POD’s and Signatures that are available. If you do not have (or do not use) our HTTwine Service then this option can be ignored.

Re-Import of Jobs matched on BarCode (at Booked status only)

You are now able to re-import data from TWINE into the Traffic system without any duplicate jobs being created. This is all based upon the Barcode of any given consignment. Normally duplicate imports will be stopped but setting this value will enable an over right of any Job data in the Traffic system with (theoretically) up to date details from TWINE. Note that any and all jobs matched upon the Barcode must still be at ‘Booked’ status (i.e. Not yet on a load). If these conditions are met then the Data will be updated with the data in the Import file.
