Pajama Game Audition Guidelines

Auditions will be held by appointment onTues. May 15, 2018 and Wed. May 16, 2018from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in Freedom Hall at Independence Center. Rehearsals start May 22, 2018 at 6:00pm. Show dates are Nov. 2nd, 3rd and 4th. You must be a member of Performing Arts Club to perform in the show.

Only those who are auditioning will be allowed in the theater. No guests, please.

Tues. May 15th auditions are focused on the lead roles from 6:00pm – 7:30pm (Sid, Babe, Mabel, Hasler, Hines, Prez, Gladys). From 7:30pm – 8:30pm for factory workers who have greater than 18 lines with ensemble singing/movement (1st helper, Charley, Joe, Mae, Brenda, Poopsie, Max, Pop).

Candidates can audition for multiple roles by choosing a time slot for each character. Every effort will be made to have auditions for multiple characters as close together as possible for your convenience (e.g. Hines is lead role, Max is factory worker role).

Wed. May 16thfrom 6:00pm – 7:30pmare focused on the factory workers with less than 18 lines with ensemble singing/movement (Carmen, Ann, Mara, Sandra, Charlene, Virginia, Rita, Doris, Linda, 1st male, 2nd male, 2nd helper, waiter, and other employees). Some of these roles may be grouped for audition as determined by Director.

Time has been allocated on Wed. May 16th from 7:30pm – 9:00pm to accommodate anyone who cannot make Tuesday for lead roles and factory workers with greater than 18 lines. Also this time will include any requested callbacks from Tuesday’s audition.

Steam Heat is a trio of dancers. One dancer will be the role of Gladys. Two additional dancers will be selected from the audition. Dancers for Steam Heat need to choreograph their own 1- minute routine. You will need to use the rehearsal tracks for your audition routine; however, during your audition we will play the Performance Tracks.

Auditions will be held on Tues. May 15th from 8:30pm – 9:00pm.

The instructions for downloading the rehearsal tracks is in a separate document. The time frame for audition song(s) is 1 minute (minimum). Specific character roles and songs for auditions are in a separate document. Links to the songs/some dialogueare available for viewing on the PACSCA.org website and is also in a separate document.We WILL NOT be using these links currently on the pacsca website for the audition. We will use the performance tracks NO VOCALS for the auditions. If you prefer, you can sing acapella.

All time frames for auditions are approximate. There may be adjustments due to Director/judges request during the audition. Your consideration and flexibility is appreciated, as every effort will be made to keep the schedule on time.
