FAQS

Q: The plugin for JDownloader isn’t working correctly; it keeps showing the captcha. What do I do?

A: Follow these steps to get it working again.

1. Do not panic, follow these steps and it will work.

2. Open a Windows Explorer window. Navigate to “...\JDownloader\jd\captcha\methods\imagetyperz\”

3. Open the “jacinfo.xml” file in Notepad.

4. DO NOT REMOVE ANY TEXT FROM THIS FILE; DOING SO WILL WARRANT A REINSTALL.

5. Add the website directly behind the text “services=” directly behind the “ after the = sign. Always follow the .com, .net, etc. with an ; symbol.

Note: If you do not add ; behind the site, it will cause the plugin to stop working.

Example : services="fileshare.com;"

6. If you want to add more than one site then it should be done like this

services="fileshare.com;turbobit.net;" you can add any number of sites.

7. Once you have added the website, save and close the file.

Q: I followed the steps to add custom websites to the jacinfo.xml file, but it’s still not working.

A: That’s okay, sometimes JDownloader needs to be told to use the JAC file. Follow these steps to make that happen.

1. Open JDownloader and navigate to the settings tab.

2. Extend ‘Plugins & Add-ons’ if not already and select ‘Host’.

3. Find your website within the list. For this example we use ‘turbobit.net’.

4. Press the ‘Settings’ button below the list to bring up this panel.

5. If ‘Enable JAC?’ is not checked, simply check the box.

6. Try downloading from the website once again. If this does not fix your problem, please contact technical support for more information.
