ARBITRATION

I have vast experience in arbitration and re-conciliation. I acted as Arbitrator for Irrigation & Flood

Control Department, Govt of NCT of Delhi, for culverts, bridges construction of barrage, canal

digging, lining and road works. As Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineer, I handled

arbitration cases, for which I studied the contract documents and associated correspondence,

checked interpretation of the agreement clauses, prepared counter statement of facts & counter

claims, for works relating to construction contracts of buildings, roads, commercial complexes, etc. As

Engineer Member, DDA I worked on ADR for development related issues, allotment of lands, draw of

flats, etc. While working as Engineer Member, DDA & Chief Engineer, CPWD I was appointing authority for appointment of Arbitrator and also acted as a mediator in the ADR format. In my position as Chief Engineer, CPWD; Engineer Member, DDA; and Director General, CPWD, I had the power of final acceptance of arbitration awards, which I undertook through a process of review of the arbitration awards and court judgments on awards.
