Barb Wagner called the meeting to order at 4:35 PM.

Barb Wagner introduced Jennifer Wilcox, new Adult Education Director for Grant Career Center.

OBR Report - Brett Visger provided information on the movement of personnel within OBOR and combining staff. Barb Nicol has been assigned as Perkins compliance Officer; Bill Souder and Veda McCoy? have been assigned three economic regions they will be working with.

MINUTES- Minutes from at the December 12, 2013 meeting were approved. Amy Leedy made motion to approve, seconded by Ben Chafee. Motion Passed

TREASURERS REPORT - Sonja Pluck stated there is a balance of$78,347.96 Amy Leedy made motion to approve, Richard George seconded. Motion Passed

LEGISLATIVE REPORT–Amy Leedy provided information on the Credit Affirmation Teams (CATS) that are forming to affirm 900 hour programs for college credit. There will be four teams in the areas of Health, Trades, Services, Agriculture. Goal is to have most programs affirmed by mid-September.Program credentialing process is in place with prior approved industry credentials now transferred into the system.

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICES - No COP Reports provided, however discussion took place on the following:

Amy Leedy proposed that PACE develop a Community of Practice team on the Unified Perkins Planning that is currently taking place. Motion was made by Ben Chaffee, seconded by Kelly Wallace. Team will consist of Ben Chaffee, Tom Harris, Jane Marlow, Karen Rayk. Motion Passed

A proposal was made to reorganize the USO/TDN and Student Services Community of Practices into one. Kelly Wallace made a motion to approve which was seconded by Sonja Pluck. Motion passed.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS – The following people were elected to fill the position noted:

Carrie Fife – President

Jane Marlow – President Elect

Barb Wagner – Past President

Tom Harris – Secretary

Sonja Pluck – Treasurer

Carol Gittinger - Membership

Amy Leedy – Legislative Representative

Tony Landis - OBOR Representative

Motion was made by Kelly Wallace and seconded by Pete Prichard. Motion Passed

NEW BUSINESS

Kelly Wallace requested that PACE look at reorganizing OTC’s around the assigned economic regions. Each region would operate with a president and secretary. Barb Wagner stated she will identify the regions and look for volunteers to lead this suggestion.

Rick Turner stated there is erroneous talk going on between schools about the Council of Occupational Education Accreditation being in peril like NCA was. He stated he talked to COE representatives (Gary Puckett) and was assured this in not the case and is far from the truth. This was brought up to stop the rumor.

Barb Wagner thanks everyone on the PACE Spring Conference team for a job well done.

Bill Souder – informed everyone the on-line Perkins Compliance Reporting System will be a secure site and is due to become operational the beginning of 2015.

Motion made by Kelly Wallace to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Carol Gittinger. Motion Passed
