Overall Grand Team Champions

Good Morning SA API Team Roping and BBQ Cook off committee members and fellow SA API Board members,
I wanted to get the cook team winners announced and acknowledge my support team for equipment, judging and the cook off event itself.
Thanks to Austin Kramr, Chris Cantrell, Jim Gieptner, Joey Machado, Matt Krueger, Martin Pitts and Houston Hefley. We had a good plan and got it successfully executed again this year.
We had 14 cook teams; 16 paid overall! Friday night open cook off was a continued success with more amazing food and recipes! We did have less teams due to the
industry downturn of oil prices but we did good! The rain couldn’t hold us down either for the second straight year!!
We also continued to acknowledge 4th, 5th and 6th place cook teams to help determine the overall champion. That meant not only was everyone cooking to win the individual meat divisions, they also cooked to score points in each category to
go for overall champion award and win the cook off Calcutta money. Cool event and again thanks to Joey and Matt. Our BBQ cook off has become a tradition and a backbone for the event!
Thanks to my co-directors Ike Corrigan, Roy Hefley, Patti Hefley and Houston Hefley and Chip Olds. Great team and great team effort!
