Over the Past One Year and a Half, Many Circumstances and Situations Have Taken Place That

Statement for Paul Smith and CCOF

Over the past year a difficult situation has developed making it obvious the time has come for the ministry of Understand The Times to move on to a new location with a new direction. The twenty years spent here in Costa Mesa havebeen interesting, challenging and life changing.

While UTT USA will continue to operate as usual with a board of directors and a post office box for an office, we will be moving our main base to Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada. Our goal will be for Understand The Times to become known as Understand The Times International, with ministry outreaches in various countries around the world.

While it appears we are destined to leave southern Californian with a dark shadow cast over the ministry of Understand The Times, I am prepared to leave without any further attempts to rectify the situation or confront those who have harmed us.

While it has been brought to my attention there are those who claim they are withholding information that would bring further damage to the ministry of Understand The Times, Ihave chosen not to release factual information to counter these false claims and unspoken innuendos, unless forced to do so.

My desire is to support Calvary Chapel pastors such as Chuck Smith, Paul Smith, John Higgins, Dwight Douville, Jeff Johnson, Joe Focht, Ron Wilkins, Raul Ries, Xavier Ries, Bill Gallatin, Ed Gaines, Greg Young, Jim Jarret, Larry Scroggins and many other Calvary pastors in the future. I believe these pastors are committed to the inerrancy of the Word of God. They teach the soon return of Jesus Christ and the rapture of the church. Theyare also committed to exposing the purpose driven and the emerging church lies that are leading many evangelicals astray.

By default, the ministry of Understand The Times has been eliminated from other churches including Calvary Chapels, where pastors have been seduced by the new “Christian” paradigm the Bible calls apostasy.

I have one final request to make before moving on. Understand The Times can leave withthe shadow remaining over Understand The Times, or Understand The Times can leave without a shadow cast over Understand The Times. I pray the Holy Spirit would direct the latter to occur.

I pray that those who are in a position to make the right decision would make the right decision and that a solution would be attained that is honoring to Jesus Christ.

Whatever the case, I will keep my eyes on Jesus Christ alone, and go on.
