Participate in BW system upgrade project.
I am in charge of Unicode related tasks in this project: convert text information to Unicode according to its language code in DB with SPUMG; upgrade data extraction programs to make them compatible with the new environment. Besides, I am also in charge of the reports’compatibility, including: whether new version of business explorer can be executed in stakeholders’ computer; whether queries and workbooks can be executed correctly in new environment.
Achievements include: BW system is upgraded from 3.5 to 7.0; existing data in system is converted to Unicode; data extraction programs work well in the new environment; keep old queries still executable in new environment.
