Reason is when the person knows that they didn't know that there was a true reason, an excuse is a false reason that is used to get out of trouble. It is a reason had he not been drinking more than likely Bob wouldn't have jumped Johnny and Pony

11)Why does Dally want to fight in the rumble?

Dally wanted to avenge Johnny’s death!

12)What does living on the streets teach you, according to Ponyboy?

You can learn a lot, but all the wrong things. You see a lot, but all the wrong things.

13) Why doesn’t Johnny want to see his mother? Do you think he should see her? Why or why not?

Johnny is angry because his parents don’t seem to care about him. He says she will just yell at him for doing all the wrong things. I don’t know. I am not for sure she is there to help him or to yell at him. She doesn’t seem very loving when she is yelling at the nurse.

14)7. Two-Bit tells Ponyboy that “the only thing that keeps Darry from bein’ a Soc is us”. What does he mean? Darry was a good guy. He was trying to do the right thing. Darry would have never shop lift items.

15)8. How is Darry different from the other greasers?

Darry has a real job.

16)Why do you think Cherry wants to help the greasers?

Cherry does feel that this is her fault.
