DONATIONS APPRECIATED!

We are in need of more wipes as the flu and cold season is upon us. Additionally, our children are growing and are constantly hungry. If you are at Costco or Sam’s, would you please consider picking up a class snack? Thank you for your generosity.

Demonstration Speeches

Please remember that your child was assigned to present a demonstration speech either next Monday, March 30th, or Tuesday, March 31st. They all have such wonderful enthusiasm and creative ideas! If I may be of any assistance, just let me know. If you child still needs 1-2 posters, I have them ready for pick-up!

VAPA!

Our next VAPA is next week on Friday, April 3rd, in the afternoon. So, if your child comes early, please know that he/she may stay late to have the full time at VAPA.

Spring Break Dates

There will be no school from Monday, April 7th until and including April 13th. School resumes on Tuesday, April 14th.  Have a wonderful vacation full of rest, fun, laughter, and family. Upon returning, we will be very focused on our state testing which will be occurring during the last week in April and the first week in May.

Our Threatened & Endangered Wild Animal Project

WOW! Are we excited? As you know, we have been researching animals to be able to choose wild animals that each child is individually passionate about! We will be doing the bulk of this project in class. Please know that everyone is encouraged to locate additional information at home and bring it to school each day. We are learning how to organize facts from numerous sources by utilizing our thinking maps.

Our Fluffy Friday Celebration!

What a fun-filled day we had last week! We started our day by reorganizing the furniture to fit our 20 blankets/sleeping bags, pillows, and more. The children completed their work while joyfully enjoying one another’s friendships! We enjoyed a ‘surprise’ visit from our little buddies. During that time, each child read approximately 2 stories with their little buddy. It was precious. . . The big buddies had the little buddies hold their stuffed animals as they were read to. In the afternoon, we had the pleasure of enjoying our neighboring Pebble Creek Park where we climbed, played freeze tag, and “Red Light-Green Light!” It was a marvelous celebration of their many second trimester academic achievements! Each child earned their AR point goal! WOW!

Take care! I look forward to seeing you all. As always, please know if you have any questions; please feel free to simply ask.

Very Fondly,

Mrs. Barb Sunde
