Our Sr. League Team Consists of the Following 14 Players That Have Put 110% Into This Baseball

Dear Friends of Oxford Little League,
On August 6, the Oxford Senior League baseball team will travel to West Deptford, New Jersey to represent Massachusetts in the Eastern Regional Tournament this is a first for the Town of Oxford. By making a donation on the team’s behalf, you are supporting us in this journey toward a World Series berth.

Our Sr. League team consists of the following 14 players that have put 110% into this baseball season: Tyler Barrie, Tyler Bostek, Nick Bruzios*, Nick Cardoni, Mike Cicero, Evan Cosentino*, Mike D’Alio*, Mike Daigneault, Mykal Diaz*, Ryan Deviney*, Nick Lemay*, Sean O’Leary*, Cody Stone*, and Jeff Yetter. (The * represents those players in their last year of Sr League baseball). The team is managed by Greg Gray and coached by John Cosentino and Rick Daigneault.

We became the 2010 Sr. League District 5 Champions by defeatingDouglas. We then went on to become the 2010 Sr. League Sectional 2 Champions by defeating Brockton and this past Saturday the teamdefeated Gloucester in a double header at Lowell’s Spinners Park home of the AAA Red Sox team in broiling heat to become the 2010 Massachusetts State Champions! This is a first for Oxford and any town of this size in Massachusetts. The winner of the Eastern Regional Tournament will go on to the World Series being held in Bangor, ME.

Our goal is to raise enough money to cover the expenses for each player on this trip. Please help us reach that goal with your tax deductible donation. Throughout the event, we will have Mr. Mark Woods of Oxford reporting the results to the local newspapers, including photos so you will be aware of our progress. Following the event, we will send out a brief recap of the tournament to all our supporters. Our first game is Saturday August 7th Massachusetts (Oxford) will play the winner of the Maine vs Delaware game on Friday Night August 6th in the double elimination tournament
