Barriers to future attainment for pupils eligible for PP funding

In school barriers

  1. Oral language skills in Reception and KS1 are lower for pupils eligible for PP than for other pupils
  2. Higher attaining KS1 PP pupils do not all convert to become higher attaining pupils by the end of KS2

External barriers

  1. Many parents of PP pupils also have EAL and are not able to support their children with homework and home learning in order to improve attainment.

Outcomes
