Below is the outline for the summative assessment for our IB Planner, “How the World Works”. Parents, please feel free to facilitate the completion of this project, but remember that all work needs to be completed by the student. This must reflect their own knowledge and efforts. Please refer to the rubric on the back to ensure that you have all of the components of the project represented. The project will be due on/before: ______
ErosioN
This project should demonstrate the movement of weathered rock material from one place to another.
Suggestions for Representation:
· Cave formation
· Ocean-wave erosion
· River or stream erosion
· Acid rain erosion
· Wind or gravity erosion
Suggested Format: Flip Book, Poster, Model (clay), Window Pane (show sequential order), or Comic Strip or Movie Strip
Guidelines:
· Your project should show BEFORE AND AFTER events that shape
and reshape the Earth.
· Label your project with: A Title, your name, and any other important words linked to your topic.
· Include a paragraph description of how your project shows erosion and how it has changed the earth over time. Also give ways of how you could reduce soil erosion.
You may get inspiration and ideas from books, the web and other media to help facilitate this project.
