A Recipe for Your Dog
BOW WOWS AMOUR CAKE
Makes an 8-inch cake
A BLISSFUL UNION OF
CREAM CHEESE AND HONEY...
ESPECIALLY FOR THE
VALENTINE-MINDED LAB
8 ounces low-fat cream cheese
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat cream cheese with an electric blender until smooth,
then beat in honey until blended.
Sprinkle in cornstarch while using the mixer on low speed.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well blended.
Pour into an 8-inch greased spring-form pan and bake for 35 minutes,
or until the edges of the cake are lightly browned.
Garnish the cake with sliced almonds and store in a sealed container.

DOG OR CAT?
If you want someone to bring you the paper without first tearing it apart to find the sports section - find a dog.
If you want someone to make a fool of himself simply over the joy of seeing you - find a dog.
If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it is not quite as good as his mother made it - find a dog.
If you want someone always willing to go out, at an hour, for as long as and wherever you want - find a dog.
If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't give a damn about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies - find a dog.
If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores - find a dog.
If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, does not care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually
- find a dog.
But on the other hand if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only ever comes home to eat or sleep, and acts as though your entire existence is solely to ensure your happiness - find a cat.

Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right,
two-hour feedings for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night.
Within your heart you dreadthat you will surely lose thisfight,
To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just MIGHT.
Day one; he's in there fighting; you say a silent prayer.
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five . . . he's still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens.
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.
You take this little angel, and bury him alone.
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,
You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why sufferthrough this pain?"
Yetwatch the joy your puppies bring, and everything's explained.
So, when you think of breeders and label them with "Greed,"
Thinkof all that they endure to fill another's need.
For when you buyyour puppy, with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money . . . whilethey pay with all theirheart.
