NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

(PURSUANT TO 401KAR5:006 SECTION 5; KRS Chapter 424; AND 40CFR 25.5 & 6)

The Pineville Utility Commission, 151 N Pine Street, Pineville, Kentucky 40977, has drafted a 20-year Regional Facilities Plan containing wastewater requirements for collection and treatment within the planning area to be served, as described therein, and associated costs. Interested citizens may obtain further information by contacting Mr. Bill Bunch at the above address or by calling (606) 337-6611 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Regional Facilities Plan is also available for viewing on-line at the Division of Water website, www.water.ky.gov.

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 08, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. local time at the office of the Pineville Utility Commission, 151 N Pine Street, Pineville, Kentucky. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the draft plan and its contents, specifically the alternatives considered, the selected plan, project costs, financing sources, user charges, and hookup/tap-on fees. This project may affect sewer rates. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting and has a right to comment on the plan for a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice by writing to the above address or before the termination of the hearing whichever is later. A longer comment period may be requested in writing. All persons who believe any condition of the draft plan is inappropriate, inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise not in the best interest of the public and environment must raise all reasonable issues and submit all reasonable arguments, facts, and comments with supporting documents to the above given contact person.
