OSA States of Refuge – Jackson, Mississippi, November 7-11, 2012

God moved with power when the saints came to Jackson to confront the last stronghold of the child-killing industry in Mississippi, Jackson Women’s Health Organization. We came to expose this wicked city’s sin.

“Son of man, will you judge her? Will you judge this city of bloodshed? Then confront her with all her detestable practicesand say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You city that brings on herself doom by shedding blood in her midst and defiles herself by making idols, you have become guilty because of the blood you have shed…” Ezekiel 22:2-4a.

On the day after our nation’s Presidential Election, we were privileged to bring the Gospel of Christ to the gates of hell and allow the theology of heaven to become biography in the streets. We were pleading the case of the fatherless to win it – not just to plead it as was the case with the feckless Republican Party. The people in Jackson saw and heard our message. The local media surrounded us as did the Jackson Police Department. Some mocked but many received as you will see.

One security guard at Jackson State University, where we set up our display, talked to Dale Sochia about our purpose. When he learned that Mississippi might become the first abortion-free state in America he responded, “Oh that’s history – big history, maybe even bigger than the first black president.” The students at Jackson State were very open to the Gospel and there were many divine encounters.

It seemed that Satan knew his time was short as the local pro-life group told us the clinic was doing a huge amount of business on the days they were open that week. When we arrived, however, they closed Friday and Saturday –ordinarily their busiest days. We gave ‘em heaven at the clinic, the high schools, and Jackson State.

The evening rallies were moving and a time of refreshment and recommitment for all of us weary with election cycle drivel. The anointed praise and worship and prophetic messages gave us hope in the midst of God’s judgment. We have a job to do, a God to love, and neighbors who need to be rescued from an enemy.

On Saturday morning we had church at the abortion mill. What a time! We worshipped our Lord, and prayed against these gates of hell whose front entrance shows the demonic nature of the place. The facade contains a depiction of a mother & father laying their baby on an altar and walking away (child sacrifice carved into cheap plaster in defiance of God.) One picture (p 4) taken at the scene shows the bible being lifted up with an American Flag in the distance and the killing place in between. God will not hear our cries to heal this land because we continue to shedinnocent blood. We cannot do enough good things in America to make up for this one awful thing. Our prophetic prayer and worship that morning stressed the closing of the mill and tearing down of this stronghold. “When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood.” Isaiah 1:15.

Living out our faith in the streets of Jackson, Mississippi brought new vigor and vitality to all of us. The media found us at many of our venues where we lifted up the Name of Jesus – we never sent out a press release. The saints in Mississippi, who have so faithfully been the instruments used to shut down four abortion mills in Jackson, have only one abortion mill left in the entire state. Mississippi is within a hairbreadth of becoming the first abortion-free state in America. Here is a sampling of the news coverage.

“Pro-Life ‘States of Refuge’ Effort Aims to Shut Down Last Abortion Facility in Mississippi” Heather Clark, November 11, 2012 Top Stories

“A nationally-recognized pro-life group is working to shut down the last remaining abortion facility in Mississippi, making it the first abortion-free state in the nation.

Rusty Thomas of the States of Refuge campaign, which focuses on ending abortion in the five states in America that have just one abortion facility, told Christian News Network that he believes it is likely to come to pass due to a new law in Mississippi. Currently, the only abortion facility in the state is Jackson Women’s Health Organization in the capital city.

“The state of Mississippi passed a law this year regarding dmittingprivileges,” he explained, which is a measure designed to protect women in the event they are injured during an abortion. “They do not have that at the abortion facility there in Jackson.”

While officials have not yet closed the facility due to its inability to obtain admitting privileges, Thomas said that Jackson Women’s Health Organization was able to bide more time — but only for a short period.“They were kind of shrewd and were able to make adjustments so that they could [be classified as] a medical facility to give them six months to comply,” he explained. If the facility is not able to comply by January 16, 2013, it can be shut down by the state under the law.“The state has the authority to step in and say, ‘Are you in compliance?’ If not, shut it down!” Thomas said.

Thomas and approximately 100 other pro-lifers spent this week conducting pro-life outreach in and around the Jackson area, helping to raise awareness about the reality of abortion.“We went to a number of different venues,” he said. “We went to high schools where we set up signs and passed out Christian pro-life literature. … We went to Jackson State University.”The group also preached, sang and prayed outside of Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“It was a time that the Lord moved and souls came to faith in Christ,” Thomas continued. “You obviously have those who are very, very upset, and then there are those who are glad you are there and show much appreciation.” Thomas said that the ministry was coming in like aParaclete to assist the local organization Pro-Life Mississippi, and that he sensed that it would not be long before the efforts of pro-lifers paid off in the state.

“All of the pieces of the puzzle are pointing to Jackson, Mississippi for the 40th year of Roe v. Wade,” he stated. “We are on the verge of making history.”

He explained that instead of pro-lifers meeting in Washington, D.C. in January for the 40th year of Roe, he feels that they need to gather in Mississippi to watch as the state becomes the first to end abortion. “Imagine one state being set free fromblood guiltiness,” Thomas said with excitement. “If one state falls, it does send a message that it can continue in other states.” He stated that he hopes, if and when the facility closes, it will encourage others to take a stand for life.“Hopefully, it will inspire others not to wait for the Republican Party or [any] Party,” Thomas said, “These are divine moments God uses to bring others into the Gospel battle.”

The other four states in where only one abortion facility remains are Arkansas, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.“Once it falls, the march is not over,” Thomas advised. “On to other states.”

His Truth is Marching On by Leslies Hanks November 18, 2012

Last week Operation Save America saints gathered for the Mississippi States of Refuge event in Jackson to pressure the last free standing abortion mill to close. Abolitionists from around thenation shared shattered images of broken babies to a lost and dying culture in the south whichneeds to recall their history of oppressing the black man, as they now oppress the babies inthe womb. Suppressing truth was the mission of those remaining purveyors of death and destruction andthe institutions with a vested interest in keeping the status quo.
An early morning visit to Jackson's Robert Calloway HS provided a classic example whichgot Coach Dave Daubenmire all fired up. The female security guards interfered withevery student who took an OSA brochure, explaining that babies in the womb aremade in God's image and likeness, and are not "blobs of tissue."

Coach Dave and the guards had a lively debate about why they were insisting the studentstoss the informational brochures on the ground, trampling on our free speech rights, as wellas those of their captive students.Rusty Thomas had the opportunity to explain to Jackson's Channel 16, before we finished oureducational outreach, that the students must stop killing their children and if they are old enoughto visit abortion mills, they are surely old enough to learn that abortion destroys human lives 4,000times every day.
Back to the Jackson abortion mill, we were blessed by Miss Katie, playing sweet hymns at the gates of hell but we were stunned by the irony of the sign in the entrance door. The only children allowed in facility are those awaitingdeath ~ Rescue those innocents being unjustly led to the slaughter Proverbs 24:11. The "security" guy told me he's "proud to work at Jackson Women's Health Org." An OSA person prayed for him earlier in the morning, yet he told me I'm not to judge & turned on his Anti Truth siren, so he didn't have to hear my mild preaching.

After strong preaching by Rev Flip Benham and Cal Zastrow at the Jackson Women's Health Organization (nothing healthy about dismemberment,) another team travelled toJackson State ~ home of Walter Payton. The Justice for All type display brought truth and light to college students, many of whom were receptive. A Muslim student, Corinthian, on the other hand, was incensed at the "offense" against "choice" and usedall manner of crazy argumentation while vowing to shut out the display the following day.
Despite the repeated efforts to obscure, obfuscate and obliterate the truth in Mississippi, His truth is marching on and Lord willing before the 40 year anniversary of Roe v Wade this January 22, 2013,America will be free of the scourge of child killing in at least one state and the mighty killing Goliath will begin to fall . . . "He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet; Our God is marching on.Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on."

Join us in Jackson this 40th Memorial of Roe v. WadeJanuary 20-22, 2013 – We Are Going Back!

If you have not yet realized the utter futility of relying on Washington, D.C., to stop the shedding of innocent blood in this land, you have been in a coma. Neither party, not even a third nor fourth party has any intention whatever to plead the case of the fatherless to win it. They will certainly plead it enough to get our vote but that is as far as it goes. Ending abortion in this land is the job of the Church of Jesus Christ. We are the only institution ordained by God to storm the gates of hell where they cannot prevail. There is no other, period!

Abortion will come to an end in America when the Church of Jesus Christ makes up her mind it will come to an end – and not one second sooner!

If this is true, and it is, then we need to win this battle in the streets long before we can win it in the “hallowed” halls of Congress, or 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, or the Supreme Court. We can no longer afford to allow strategy (political) to replace truth. The one offensive Weapon given to us by God to tear down strongholds is the sword of the Spirit – the Word of God. This is the weapon that must be unsheathed. It is the TRUTH! God watches over His Word to perform it. We win when we wield it. Our unbelief causes us to leave it in its sheath.

Unfortunately, most of us are too busy watching FOX News (I am guilty)or listening to the conservative talking heads on radio to have time to delve into God’s Word. We don’t know it. We are not aware that we can unsheathe it. We are not equipped to wield it. We are ignorant of its power to transform lives and nations.

We are giving you the 2013 Bible Reading Schedule this Christmas that you may read through the Bible with us this year, the 40th Memorial of Roe v. Wade. We will be giving you several opportunities to live out your faith in the streets of America in 2013as our “States of Refuge” campaign continues to seek America’s first abortion-free state. At these times you will hear preaching that comes directly from the Scripture in your Bible Reading Schedule. There is no greater gift we can give Jesus this year than to draw near to Him through His Word.

We have looked to Republicans to keep us from sliding off a fiscal cliff from which there is no recovery. Almighty God has been looking for us to rescue those being led away to slaughter. Until we take care of this issue, the shedding of innocent blood, there will be no aid from heaven to heal our land. Please join us in Jackson, MS, this January 20-22, 2013.

This picture of Jackson Women’s Health Organization graphically reveals America’s problem. She is intent on killing childrenwhile asking God to bless her at the same time. It has never happened in history, it will not happen now, nor will it ever happen in the future. Innocent blood has a voice and it cries out to God. Until we repent of the shedding of innocent blood, God will not hear our prayers. Sin separates us from God. This abortion mill separates America from God’s blessing.

“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things.” Isaiah 59:1-3.

There are five states that have only one abortion mill, Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. These are potential “States of Refuge” where the unborn child will be safe from abortion. One of them will become the first abortion-free state in the U.S. We pray that in 2013 (the 40th year since the US legalized this bloodshed) we can present that state to the Lord and tear down the wicked walls that separate us from Him.

Because our hands are stained with the blood of the innocent the Lord has not heardour prayers for help. Our streets are filled with bloodshed. Our economy is slowly bleeding to death and governmental “solutions” seem to only make the crisis worse. Even nature seems to have turned against us in earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and wildfiresthat ravage our land. God has more disaster than our federal government has relief.

We are being destroyed as a nation by an enemy from within. We are being destroyed by a lie that was birthed in the very pit of hell. This lie took its physical form in the Roe v. Wade decision issued by the Supreme Court of the United States of America on January 22, 1973.This is a battle that only God’s Church can win!

So we are headed back to Jackson, Mississippi, this 40th Memorial of Roe v. Wade. We will be there January 20-22, 2013. We will have a memorial service on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, that will end at 12:30 PM. For those of you that are already doing memorial services, for the over 55 million children killed, in your cities at that time please let your local leaders organize that and come join us in Jackson.

See you in Jackson as we again storm the gates of hell – they cannot prevail!
