TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE CURRENT ORSO MEMBERS FOR THE 2008-2009 SEASON

Included in this package are the ORSO membership forms for both new and renewing members for both competitive and recreational members. To complete your registration, please be sure that the ORSO registration forms are complete and are sent with your registration package for the workshop. ALL RECREATIONAL MEMBERSHIP FEE ARE TO BE PAID TO THE CRSF.

Just a reminder that any "new" team members should be CRSF members in order to be covered by insurance for this event. (forms are included)

WORKSHOP INFORMATION

All jumpers (very basic to highly skilled) may participate in the first day of the workshop. Saturday will also consist of an ORSO judges training session followed by a speed and power competition. Sunday will consist of an elite workshop. Elite USA jumpers will assist all attending athletes.

ORSO WORKSHOP: Junior Olympic, Canadian and American National and World Champions will teach the ORSO Workshop. Skills in single rope, double dutch, Chinese wheel and long rope will be taught.

ELITE WORKSHOP: Elite jumpers (Advanced or Masters Level- see Appendix A for skill requirements) are welcome. Coaches must sign attached form in order for senior jumpers to attend the elite workshop. This workshop will teach single rope, double dutch and Chinese wheel. The purpose of an elite workshop is to assist senior jumpers so that they can become better jumpers as well as coaches. Jumpers who cannot keep up will hold the group behind and maybe asked to sit aside.

- Please Note: there will no special events on the elite workshop days. The speed and power event will only take place on the Saturday.

SPEED & POWER COMPETITION: CRSF (Canadian Rope Skipping Federation) rules and events will be followed. The purpose of the competition is to promote fun within the sport of jump rope.

CRSF Events:

• Masters: 30 second speed, 3 minute speed, Consecutive DU/TU
• Team Events:4x30 speed relay, 4x30 power relay

JUDGES TRAINING SESSION: Judges training session will be offered for Level 1 & 2certification will allow you to judge in Ontario and Canadian competition. Judge training will take place on Saturday of the workshop.

ORSO ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: The ORSO AGM will take place on during the after the ORSO workshop. ALL WECOME AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND,
