/ Westside Restoration: Peer To Peer Learning Workshop
May 9-11, 2017
Vancouver Hilton, WA
RSVP by March 24, 2017 /

Organized by the USFS R6 Ecology Program & the Pacific Northwest Research Station

“The oldest task in human history is to live on a piece of land without spoiling it.” -- -- Aldo Leopold

Workshop Goal: In a nutshell, we want to create an opportunity for our skilled practitioners involved with restoration projects to learn from each other. From the expansive glaciers and snow fields of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie, to the estuaries of the Siuslaw, to the floristic diversity and mixed conifer dry forests of the Rogue-Siskiyou, the “westside” offers a potpourri of interesting challenges! Since restoration is a journey, not an endpoint, we need to be in this for the long haul. Learning from each other’s successes (and mis-steps) will be critical if we hope to make progress. NO REGISTRATION FEE

Target Audience: Region 6Forest Service employees in western Oregon and Washington involved with restoration activities -- from planning to implementation.

Location: Vancouver Hilton, WA. A block of rooms will be held for this workshop. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly and referring to the code “USF” 360-993-4500.
