Rural/Tribal Employment will be the aim of any organisation desiring to contribute to NationBuilding. In view I request you to evaluate the following proposal of mine. I will consider myself fortunate to act as Technology, Mfgg and Marketing consultant to bring this project into reality.

To manufacture and market Ayurvedic Herbal Neem based 100 Micron particle size fine powdered Bio Pesticide Formulation using whole Dried Neem Fruits .
MOST IMPORTANT --- This product MUST NOT be confused with the ordinary Neem Cake that is sold at Rs 1 Per Kg in the market today . This cake is a biproduct of Neem Seeds/NeemFruits after exctracting oil and all the useful ingredients to Agro crops. Thus Neem cake powder is practically of no benefit to Agro Crops.
Expertise Available
For the obvious reasons use of poisonous Chemical Fertilisers is decreasing .All over the globe Organic/Bio Pesticides are recommended for Agriculture, Floriculture and Horticulture .
On the Bio Front much has been said and done for Azadirectin –a selective Extract from Azadirecta Indica – Neem Tree as we call in India .My work shows that this Molecule is quite unstable when sprayed on the crop and its anti insecticidal effect is quite short lived . Moreover processing cost does not justify the benefits derived from Azadirectin .
On the other hand Neem based Bio Pesticide Formulation developed by me has following characteristics –
The whole Neem Fruits are Dried and Ground a Fine powder using a special technique developed . Normally oil seeds cannot be converted into fine powders because they contain oil . My technique overcomes this obstacle and Fine Neem Fruit Powder can now be made .
All the goodness of Neem is available to crops by this formulation .
The formulation Particles create a sustained Release effect since the ingredients are gradually released and thus long term protection from insects is achieved .
This Fine powder is dusted on the crops by standard Dusters . At first this dusting creates a fine plasma of Neem around each plant and then the particles settle down on the leaves and adhere there. Thus the Insecticidal effect is much stronger and longer lasting .
Impact of the concept
This Neem Formulation could prove to be a low cost and more effective alternative to present day pesticides all over the world .This is possible because Neem oil seeds can now be converted into fine powder.
The Global Scenario
Neem in Dust form is not used anywhere in the world as a Bio Pesticide .This concept will have ready buyers once the field trials on crops on their end yield positive results .
Novelty Element
This is obviously a novel way to control insects using Neem Bio Pesticide Formulation in fine Powder Form .
However I am confident that Farmers in India will be greatly benefited by this low cost pest control Technique . For example this powder would be very useful on Cotton and Grapes Farming .
Moreover the same product can be used to coat Seeds and if allowed Urea.
Cost
01.The product can be easily sold to Farmers at MRP of Rs 10/- Per Kg and 25 Kgs of powder per Hectar is dusted on Crop at a Time . The Dusting is recommended Every Fifteen Days depending upon the degree of Infestation .
02. The cost of manufacturing will be Rs 07 /- Per Kg giving a Profitability of about 30% on MRP .
03.The number of small plants can be located in Taluka Places .Each Plant will have a capacity of One Ton per day of two Shifts working and the cost of plant and Machinery would not be greater than Rs 3/- Lakh at the most .
Project
Each small manufacturing unit will produce 10 Tons of microfined whole Neemseed powder per Month. The selling price would be Rs 10 per Kg .Thus the projected Annual Turnover would be Rs 12 Lakh with a gross profit of Rs 3.6 Lakh per year.
Self Help Group ( SHG) of Two women/Youth will be sufficient manpower to run the Unit.
Market
# Large and small Fertiliser plants would like market this organic way of controlling pests.
# Herbal Mosquito Repellent coil manufacturers will readily buy this powder.
# Export to developed countries that are moving away from Chemical Pesticides.
# Kitchen Gardens in the cities.
# Vegetables, Cotton ,paddy and Grapes would be the crops to be targeted for marketing.
We can work together to make this concept into profitable reality for organic and regular farming.
