Call to Order – 7:04pm

Attendance

Minutes

March minutes presented and review by the group. Motion made by Lindsay to accept the March minutes as printed. 2nd: Annie, motion passed.

Treasury Report

Report was presented and reviewed. Delany made a motion to accept the treasury report as printed. 2nd: Austin, motion passed.

Up-to-date, has the April show high point winners up and fall show dates.

Spring Show

Feedback is that it went great, well ran, smooth. Entries were up, 2016 had 316 and this year had 488 entries. There are a few possible DQ’d riders/horses. Delany will contact Shawn Charters to find out who exactly it was and made adjustments to the year-end points as needed.

Year-end Points/Awards

OPHC will be following NWCC point system for year-end point tabulation. Discussion about award ideas for the year-end awards, Lindsay will look into prices and the best place to order buckles. Everyone liked having it at Linn County Fairgrounds last year. Discussion about the date was tabled.

Fall Show

Delany made a motion to contract Shawn Charters to be the fall show secretary, 2nd: Annie, motion passed. Austin made a motion to contract Annie Suratt to be the fall show manager, 2nd: Delany, motion passed. Delany will submit the show applications to APHA for the dual show. Annie made a motion that stalls will be $125 Thursday-Sunday, pre-bedded, 2nd: Delany, Motion passed. Annie made a motion to not have a separate day stall fee, 2nd: Austin, motion passed. We will be offering a Master Amateur high point award. Delany made a motion to remove all gaming classes for the fall 2017 show and add in ranch trail, 2nd: Lindsay, motion passed.

Membership

Delany made a motion that OPHC follows the NWCC membership rules starting 2018, 2nd: Annie, motion passed.

Bylaws

Tabled till June.

Oregon Bred

Lindsay has asked the OPHC board to allow Oregon Bred to receive all entry fees from the April show to help off-set the cost of awards. Annie made a motion to allow Oregon Bred to have all fees paid at the April show from the Oregon Bred classes to go to the Oregon Bred account, 2nd: Delany, motion passed. Lindsay stated that Oregon Bred class fee will increase for the fall show from $8 per judge to $10 per judge.

Gaming Show

Delany looked into the Yamhill County Fairground rates. To have the gaming show all day will cost $525 plus $15 for any stalls. Delany made a motion that OPHC moves the gaming show to the Yamhill County Fairgrounds on February 10, 2018, 2nd: Anne, motion passed. Delany will contact the fairgrounds to reserve the date.
