Pre-Season
Orange Classic - Semi-Finalist
The team traveled to Florida and had a great pre-season experience. We played well verse the warm weather Florida teams and for our first time on a full field but lost in the semi-finals 2-0 to the Texas Spirit 93 who went on to win the championship handily 4-0.

The challenge playing in two leagues would be daunting for most but not this team. We accomplished a lot playing 29 matches this spring. Our results have positioned us well for our U17 campaign. Along the way we played top teams in the state (Stars, Scorpions, Aztecs), region (HBC, CFC, Oakwood) and nationally (Texas Spirit).
U17 “Region Team” Outlook
The focus of the U17 “Region Team” is college showcase tournaments, competing in the best possible/appropriate league (Region 1 or Northeast Regional League) and State Cup. This team will not compete in MAPLE D1 because the potential ‘showcase’ tournament schedule represents an estimated 25 matches. With the merger with PUMA and NEEFC, the ‘new’ New England Football Club (NEFC) is fortunate to have a very deep player pool and will field two quality ‘D1’ level sides. The “MAPLE Team” will compete in MAPLE D1 and have its own independent tournament schedule and also compete in State Cup, providing a competitive schedule and college showcase environment as well.
The original NEEFC team has come a long way from U15 MAPLE D2 in just two short seasons, but we are not going to stop and rest, our journey continues next year!

May – Memorial Day Weekend – PDA College Showcase (NJ)
June – State Cup: pre-qualified for round robin (MA)

Training
Sept/Oct – Optional: 3-4 college outings to see top quality matches and meet 1 on 1 with college coaches in the region.
Nov – two sessions per week. One weeknight and one weekend at ForeKicks I in Norfolk or ForeKicks II in Marlboro to prepare for winter tournament schedule.
Dec – Indoor full-sided league (ForeKicks I/II – Norfolk/Marlboro)
Jan/Feb/Mar - two sessions per week. One weeknight and one weekend at ForeKicks I/II – Norfolk/Marlboro
Apr/May/June – two weeknight sessions per week on turf fields either at Marshall St., Holliston or ForeKicks II - Marlboro.
