Opportunity Description: The Office of Admission at The University of Tulsa is seeking candidates for Regional Representative based in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Regional Representative will be based in the DFW area and will coordinate all recruitment activities in North Texas (including Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco) from the west side of the state (including Lubbock, Amarillo and surrounding areas) to the east side of the state (including Tyler, Kilgore and surrounding areas). This position is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic recruitment plan that will enhance the quality as well as the quantity of freshman enrollments from the above mentioned areas to attend The University of Tulsa.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES: -Establishes a strong community relations network -Conducts evening and weekend special events and activities -Visits high schools and attends college day/night programs -Communicates frequently by phone and email with prospective students and parents -Establishes ongoing communication with high school guidance counselors -Coordinates special recruiting events for The University of Tulsa faculty, administrators, and students -Establishes a parent and alumni network -Develops an ongoing marketing plan and contact with students beginning at the sophomore level -Conducts summer educational outreach programming -Interviews students -Reviews and evaluates applications and making scholarship recommendations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, three to five years of admission, or related experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and demonstrated task and time management expertise; must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with minimum supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in higher education administration; five to ten years of proven experience as a high school guidance counselor or admission representative; knowledge and appreciation for the environment associated with a comprehensive private institution or private secondary school. Special consideration will be given to individuals who originate from or reside in the DFW area.
