Dartmouth’s LGBTQ Peer Mentoring Program - Outreach Peer Mentors

Outreach Peer Mentorstrains current Dartmouth students as mentors to provide peer-to-peer mentoring in developing a positive LGBTQ identity while successfully adapting to life at Dartmouth.The program is designedto help students explore their personal interests, take advantage of campus resources, and find their own sense of community and self-identity. In addition, Outreach looks to build community throughout the entirety of Dartmouth, providing opportunities for connection between the undergraduate college and Dartmouth’s graduate schools, faculty and staff, and vast network of alums.

Rockefeller Center Peer Mentoring Program (RPMP)

Are you a senior student interested in public policy? The Rockefeller Center Peer Mentoring Program (RPMP) pairs rising seniors affiliated with the Rockefeller Center with rising sophomores interested in leadership and public policy. The program aims to:

  • Provide a resource for students seeking experience in public policy
  • Expand awareness of resources at the Rockefeller Center and throughout campus
  • Develop mentorship skills that will be vital in the professional world
  • Provide a mechanism through which seniors can give back to the Rockefeller Center and the Dartmouth community

Peer Tutoring

Become a paid tutor at the Tutor Clearing House and provide other Dartmouth students academic support and one-on-one guidance in a course you have excelled in.

Study Group Leader

Become a paid study group leader and provide a group of other Dartmouth students academic support in a course you have excelled in.

Requirements: Must have received A or A- grade in the course.

Time Commitment: 1.5 hoursper week, plus preparation and occasional pre-exam review session.

Foreign Language Conversation Program

Are you a native or near-native speaker of a foreign language? For up to two hours per week become a paid, foreign language conversation partner and assist other students with their speaking, listening and communication skills.

Resident Expert Program

Provide weekly academic support to students, mainly varsity student athletes, in specific areas of concentration. The Student Athlete Resident Expert is a highly motivated student with a major in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Math, Government, or Psychology, willing to spend 1.5 hours a week holding a study group for student athletes in need of tutoring.
