OLD Business:

1- Varsity vs. Parents basketball Games

Thanked everyone for attending and we also thanked all those who helped getting everything ready. Everyone had a great time and we plan to do it again next year!

2- Reading Night

Thanked Mrs. McInturff. Gift Cards were paid for with Box Tops Money. The kids really enjoyed everything the Firefighters showed them!

3- Box Tops

Larry Collins asked why Box Tops Money did not go directly to the PTO account. Dr. Miller stated that different schools do it differently and after some discussion it was decided that it is working fine the way it is. Larry Collins also asked if we could use the Box Tops Money to pay for the Scholarship since we don’t have a lot of money in the bank. Michelle Holt said she would rather use the Box Tops Money for the WholeSchool since that is where we get the Box tops from.

4- Getaway Giveaway

New Business:

1 – April Meeting

We will distribute Gifts at the meeting. Jill Reeves will make the Big Check. A Committee was formed to organize the night. Misty Jarnigan, Leslie Ellenburg & Helen Kells. We will try and have Representation from the community & St. Jude’s. Maybe have some singing from Nolachuckey Students.

2- Movie Night – North Pod Only. Cannot Publicize because of Copyrights. Committee of Kim Fillers, Michelle Holt, Jimmy Morgan & Helen kells will run the event.

3- Jimmy Morgan read a PTO Leadership Article on how to get older kids involved in school activities. It was suggested that we get a 7th and/or 8th grader as a representative at the PTO Meeting to help us with this.

4- Look into Room Parent Responsibilities. Committee Formed:

Pat Garrison, Misty Jarnigan & Leslie Ellenburg

5- We plan on celebrating the students Scholastic Achievements more – Maybe with a

Breakfast and/or Honor Roll Bumper Stickers.

6- Nominating Committee presented Officer Nominees:

There will be Open Nominations at the April Meeting.

7 – Working on Faculty vs parents & Police vs Fire Volleyball Game

8 – May 3rd – 7th – Teacher Appreciation Week – Committee to organize events :
