Class 2- Novice - 13 years and under 1st round max. - 75cm
Class 3 - Dengie Debut NEW CLASS any age max height - 80cm

Class 4 - Intermediate - any age 1st round max. - 85cm
Class 5- Dengie Qualifier - any age 1st round max. - 90cm
Class 6 - Open - any age 1st round max. - 100cm
Class 7 - Advanced - any age 1st round max. - 105cm
*Times subject to entries – earlier start may be necessary
1.Classes 1,2,46 to be run under Pony Club Team Show Jumping rules with 2 rounds and no 3rd round jump-off and in accordance with Area 5 Winter League Rules 2011 as amended to accommodate WL and non-WL teams and individuals with appropriate course changes. Points will be awarded in accordance with the Winter League Rules.
2.Branches entering more than one team in any one class must clearly identify their Winter League Team and teams to be named to distinguish.
3.Class 3 and 5 – Dengie Debut & Dengie WL Qualifier to be run in accordance with Dengie Winter League Rules 2016/17 Series. See below for rules summary
4.Classes5 & 7 will be Two-phase
5.Ages as at January 1st 2016
Team and individual rosettes to 6th place in classes 1,2,4,6. Prizes to 3rd place.
Individual rosettes & prizes to 6th place in classes3, 5 & 7.
Entry fee: £15 per competitor, per class. Cheques payable to ECBPC.

Team nominations may be reserved until27thSeptember2016

The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable steps to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

DengieWinter League and Dengie Debut Rules Summary
There are three stages to these competitions.
1. Preliminary Rounds which are held throughout the country. The first four (or more if entries exceed 40) will be awarded rosettes and qualify to go forward to
2. one of 19 Area Competitions. You must attend your own Area Competition.
3. The Championships.
There is a separate Open competition which has no preliminary rounds. Members qualify by competing at an Area competition where the first three qualify for the Championships.
All Dates
Preliminary rounds will run from the 1st May 2016 - 29th February 2017.
Area Competitions will run from 1st March 2017 - 27th March 2017.
The Championships will take place at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre on the 1st & 2nd April 2017
NEW Debut Level
Please be aware for the 2016/2017 series there has been a NEW Debut level introduced.This level will appeal to the younger/less experienced Pony Club Members and non- members and can be run as a Single phase or Two-phase competition at a maximum of 0.80 cm.
NOTE:
These preliminary rounds, all Area Competitions and the Championships will run in accordance with the 2016 Pony Club Show Jumping Rules and the Dengie Rules 2016/17.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch/Centre at INTERMEDIATE or above (for Debut); OPEN or above (for Winter League) (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed the Dengie Open Grand Prix Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers).
Note: Riders cannot compete in the Open Grand Prix Area competition if they have ridden in the Area Debut Competition.
Non-Members of The Pony Club are allowed to compete in any Preliminary Round but must become fully paid up Members to compete at their Area Competition.
JA Ponies and Grade A and B Horses registered with the BSJAin the current year or previous year of the competition are not eligible. Should a Pony or Horse upgrade during any part of the 2016/2017 series they will not be able to compete further in the Series. No rider may ride more than three horses or ponies in the same competition.
SUBSTITUTIONS- Substitutions of horse/pony or rider will not be accepted at Area Competitions or at the Championships.
SADDLERY AND DRESS - At Preliminary Round Competitions EITHER The Pony Club or B.S.J.A. Rules apply in respect of Saddlery and Dress. The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules apply at Area Competitions and the Championships.
PASSING DOWN THE LINE - In the event of a competitor being placed in a qualifying position at a Preliminary Round when they have already qualified for the Area Competition, the place may pass down the line PROVIDED THAT the next placed combination has jumped a CLEAR ROUND in the FIRST ROUND.
