Open the StoryboardPPT from the shared folder.
1. Modify the Properties of the presentation to add “Storyboard the Content” as the subject.
File, Info, Properties, click on drop box to get Advanced Properties, Click on Summary, Type in subject
2. Hide spelling errors in the presentation.

3. Insert a footer with today’s date on all slides except the title slide, that does NOT update automatically.
Insert, Header & Footer, Date and Time, Fixed, Check Don’t Show on Title Slide
4. Modify the design of the presentation to be the Hardcover theme, with Slipstream theme colors.
Design, Click on themes until you find Hardcover, Colors-Choose Slipstream
5. On slide 2, change the duration of the Rectangle 2 animation to be 4 seconds.
Animations, Click on Animations Pane, Select Rectangle 2 and change duration to 4 seconds
6. Modify the presentation to run automatically, 20 seconds per slide.
Transitions, Check Advance Slide and change to 20 seconds, Uncheck On Mouse Click,
Apply to All
7. Add a comment to slide 5 to read “Dialog boxes are considered callouts, which are found by going to Insert > Shapes”
Review, New Comment, Add Text
8. On slide 3, remove the bullets, and align the text at the bottom of the textbox.
Highlight text, click on bullets icon to remove bullets. Click on Align text icon and choose bottom
9. Modify the SmartArt on slide 6 by removing the “Excel” slice.
Go to Smart Art Tools, Text Pane and Remove Text
10. Rename the “Storyboard” slice of the SmartArt to read “PowerPoint”.
Go to Smart Art Tools, Text Pane and replace Storyboard with PowerPoint
11. Animate the dump truck graphic on slide 7 to be a Vertical Figure 8 loop animation.
Go to Animations, Click on Loop, Under Effect Options choose Vertical Figure 8
12. View the slides at 73%.
Click on Zoom and change to 73
13. Modify the text on slide 4 to be 2 columns.
Highlight text, Go to Paragraph, Change columns to 2
14. Change the chart style on slide 8 to #27.
Select Chart, On Chart Tools change Chart Style to #27
15. Format the data labels on the chart on slide 8 to a linear fire gradient fill.
Select Chart, Go to Chart Tools, Data Labels select more Data Labels Options, Fill, Gradient Fill, Preset Colors Fire, make sure it is on Linear
16. Format the plot area of the chart as medium wood texture.
Select Chart, Layout, Plot Area, Picture or Texture Fill, Change texture to medium wood
17. Insert a 2 x 4 table on slide 9 to replace the text “Insert Table Here”.
Delete text box, Insert table with 2 columns and 4 rows
18. Format the style of the above table as Light Style 2 Accent 1 and add the headings “Animations” and “Transitions” in the header row.
Select Table, Go to Table Tools, Design, Table Styles, select Light Style 2 Accent 1
19. Add a section above slide 1 and name it “Storyboarding Content”.
Click on slide 1 in slides pane, Right Click-Add Section, Right click on the section name-select rename-Type new name
20. Change the slides in the presentation to be 11’’ width and 8.5’’ height.
Design, Page Setup, change to 11 and 8.5
21. Add the Drum Roll sound as a transition on slide 1.
Transitions, Sound, Drum Roll
22. Create a Custom slide show called “Planning a Presentation” to only include slides 2, 3, and 4.
Slide Show, Custom Slide Show, New, Change Name to “Planning a Presentation”, Click on slide 2 then add, do the same for 3 and 4
23. Modify the presentation to loop continuously.
Slide Show, Set Up Slide Show, check loop continuously [notice this is where Kiosk is also]
24. In slideshow view, use the pen to write your first name under the title on slide 1. Exit slideshow view and save the annotations.
Go to Slide Show, From Beginning or Current slide, Right Mouse Click, Pointer Options, Select Pen, Right Mouse Click again to End Show, Keep Annotations
25. Save the presentation into your PowerPoint folder as Storyboarding Content.pptx.
File, Save As and type name. Be sure you are in the PowerPoint folder.
