Animals must be in place by 8 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017

Check-in 8-9 a.m.

Weigh-in 8-9 a.m.

SHOW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING GOAT SHOW.

* Released following the show after pen cleanup is checked by the superintendent *

  1. The show will be open to all junior 4-H and FFA exhibitors in reciprocating counties.
  2. 4-H Members must be age 8 by December 31, 2016 and FFA member may retain active membership until November 30 following the fourth national FFA convention after graduation from high school.
  3. Animals must have HEALTH PAPERS and scrapie tags to show.
  4. Registration papers must be presented upon check-in and be in the name of the exhibitor, if showing by breed.
  5. Animals must be owned and entered under the name of the eligible 4-H or FFA member.
  6. Straw or wood chips are allowed in the barn - YOU MUST CLEAN THEM UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE. You supply your own bedding.
  7. The show management reserves the right to interpret the rules or make any decisions regarding the show deemed necessary in the best interest of the event.
  8. Exhibitors must present their current SMQA card at check-in.
  9. Individual exhibitors are limited to two sheep per class.

Ewes:

All ewes will show by breed and age.

Ewe classes are:Ewe Lamb (on or after 1-1-17)

Fall Ewe Lamb (9-1-16 to 12-31-16)

Yearling Ewe (between 1 & 2 years)

Rams:

All rams will show by breed and age.

Ram classes are:Ram Lamb (on or after 1-1-17)

Fall Ram Lamb (9-1-16 to 12-31-16)

Yearling Ram (between 1 & 2 years)

Market Lamb:

Must be born after 1-1-17.

Market lambs will show by weight. NO REWEIGHS

All market lambs must be slick sheared.

An exhibitor may not show the same animal in both market and breeding classes.
