Dear Parents,
We were given an amazing performance by year six on Thursday with their production of The Jungle Book. All the children were brilliant and carried out their role with enthusiasm, gusto and a great sense of pride. The costumes were fantastic, bright and colourful. A real treat to the end of year.
The children will meet their new teachers this week and we look forward to welcoming our new children joining us from Mead Road Infant School on Tuesday. We hope you are able to join us at our Open Evening on Thursday.

Open Evening – Thursday 14th July 4pm – 7pm
Our Open Evening is on Thursday 14th July from 4pm until 7pm. Please take the time to visit your child’s new classroom as well as looking at their work in their current room. As always, representatives from the Governing Body will be available in the Reference Library if you would like to speak to them.
M&S Uniform
We are currently running down our school uniform stock and will be transitioning across to Marks and Spencer with the website launching on 18th July with a 2 week introductory offer of 20% reductions on our logo itemed schoolwear. A letter was sent home in book bags giving more detailed information.
Uniform
We will be holding a sale of the remainder of our uniform stock on Thursday 14th July in the main school hall between 3 and 4pm.
Free School Meals
Parents who are entitled to claim for free school meals must apply now for the forth-coming academic year. A letter has been sent to all parents who currently receive assistance. Please ensure you either collect a form from the school office or you can apply on line at
Friend of Red Hill Updates
Thank you
Huge thanks go to our Friends of Red Hill who have contributed £6,000 towards a new sound system and microphones in our main hall. You may have heard the music playing outside last Friday when they were testing the new outdoor speakers! It sounds amazing and this is just one of the many contributions they have made to the school.
Quiz Night
SAVE THE DATE – FORH and the Governors are planning our annual quiz night scheduled for 7th October. Further details will follow in the Autumn term.
Annual General Meeting
Friends of Red Hill have scheduled their AGM for Tuesday 4th October 9.00 am to be held in the Studio Hall. All are welcome to join this meeting, scheduled just after school drop off so as many people as possible can attend and find out more about fundraising and how they can help the school.
Dinner Money – 7th September to 21stOctober 2016
Due to the introduction of the living wage, we have had to increase the cost of school meals from September to £2.20 per day.
School dinner money for next half term will be £70.40. Please can you pay this amount on-line at Any outstanding dinner money owing to the school is to be paid by Monday 20th July. Any credit balances will be refunded in September. If there are any deficit balances then we will not allow the school meal option to be available until the balance is cleared.
Please notify the school office if your child wants to change their lunch preferences before the beginning of the new term. Please note that if you have outstanding dinner money from this term, your child will be unable to have school
meals in September. If you feel you are entitled to Free School Meals, please collect a form from the school office today.
Buzzers Summer Academy at Red Hill
After our successful pilot of running a holiday camp during half term, Teachsport will be running a summer holidayacademy from Monday July 25th through to Friday 26th August. This is only for the pupils of Red Hill Primary School. If you are interested, please visit e-mail or call 0208 698 3036.
