“We Three Kings”John Henry Hopkins

We three kings of Orient are,

Bearing Gifts we traverse afar,

Field and fountain, moor and mountain,

Following yonder star.

Oh, Star of wonder, Star of night,

Star with royal beauty bright.

Westward leading, still proceeding,

Guide us to Thy perfect light.

Welcome & Church News

Call to Worship:

One: Learned ones in ancient times were guided by a star.

We seek God’s guidance in our lives and we look for a sign of God’s presence in many different places –

All: through the inspiration of teachers and mentors;

Through the sensitivity of friends and colleagues;

Through the nurture of family and loved ones.

One: We need to be guided in our time and in our place to new beginnings of hope and goodwill.

All: Inspire us, O God, and lead us into your future through this time of worship.

Gathering Prayer: (said together)

Gathering Prayer:(Spoken Together)

All: O God, our light, our beauty, our rest:With the appearance of your Son you have brought us into your new creation.

Form us into your people, and order our lives in you;

Through Christ, the Living One, Amen.
