For each category listed below, OSM will send a prompt to media advisers by March 2. The prompts will be fairly general, but will have specific guidelines, so adviser and students should read the prompts carefully. The work must be completed between March 2 – 13, 2015 and published to the school’s online news site during that time. Each competitor must attend the conference and pay the regular delegate attendance fee as well as the contest entry fees to be eligible to compete.
HOW TO COMPLETE ONLINE PIA ENTRIES:

  2. In the email, for each student entering, list student name, school, publication name, category, name of entry, and a working link to the entry*. Students may enter multiple categories.
  3. Calculate fee for each entry. The fee is $4 for the student’s first entry and $3 each for student’s subsequent entries. Put the amount you owe at the end of the email, and (if necessary on your end) a PO number
  4. Categories are listed below for online prepare in advance entries
  5. Keep in mind, for an online story to have the best chance at winning, it should be more than what could be published in a print edition. It should be a multimedia package, making use of tools such as links, social media, visual and or/audio appeal, potential audience interaction, etc.
*An entry in the email might look like this:
